Hi i'm Tara!
I was born and raised in Oregon and currently live and work in the beautiful Portland Metro area. I started Lynwood Design in 2014 After working in the design field for 7 years. My Retail management, visual merchandising experience, commercial staging and project management skills helped me find my my niche in Residential Interior Design and I've been offering these services both big and small ever sense. I offer services From a simple color consultation to full scale remodel. I hope i can help assist you with your next home project!

My Story

I found my passion for Interior design while working as a manager for Pier One Imports as I worked myself through college. With that came opportunity to work at an interior design firm as the Portland/Seattle Project manager.. After 7 fantastic years working with the firm, traveling and creating wonderful professional relationships nationwide, I decided it was time for me to branch off on my own.

I love helping my clients create a space that is the perfect balance of style and functionality. Sometimes we don't even know what that looks like till we look at all aspects of the design and options. I help my clients weigh these options while looking at the space, budget, aesthetic, timeline and more. Whether it be your kitchen, bathroom, office, or your child's playroom, I assist in organizing your options and giving you the vision to move forward.
I pride myself in work that will not only look good this year in todays trends but a design that will age like a fine wine. My designs are a balance of timeless patterns, colors and necessary materials to individualize and personalize your space in away that you and your family love but also something you can age and grow into and work with over the years not be fighting against it as time goes on.
Life is so busy and your living space shouldn't make the daily grind more stressful and chaotic. Having a family of my own including my husband, 3 boys and 2 animals I can understand how hectic things can be but We all deserve an enjoyable, organized space that is comforting and friendly to come home to.

Aside from design, I love spending my down time in nature and with my family and friends. We love to travel, go hiking, camping, fishing, boating, etc. If it's in nature with good company... we are there!! I love the concept of creation! Either if I'm indoors or out, I think surrounding ourselves with beauty and tranquility can help us have a more gratifying and satisfactory way of life.
